You can listen to new Coldplay song "Every Teardrop is a Waterfall" and see if it´s your cup of tea.
It´s no secret that over the last three records Coldplay has been set on being the next big arena rock band and has complemented their usual balads with some pop rock.
The move certainly paid out making them one of the biggest bands today with anthems like "Clocks", "Speed of sound" and "Viva la Vida" . That being said, it also makes them a bit predictable.
"Evrery Tear is a Waterfall" is what you have comed to expect from a Coldplay fisrt single, and very close to the vein that "Viva la vida" had. No to say this is a bad thing, just something expected.
It´s undeniable that Chris Martin and the rest of the band have the "it" factor, and know how to market their sound. The bloted sinth effects are there and so it´s the big chorus with the guitar rift beackdown to satisfy the fans that have come to expect this from the band.
Sure, just like the previus material, the single will probably be a big success and cement the path for respectable platinum album sales of their forthcoming material.
So far, I been liking the track, and hope it continues to grow on me. Looking forward for the rest of the album. What about you?
